People who recommend our kits can earn a commission, and their links carry a code — an address ending in ?aff= followed by a number. That code is how the referral gets credited, and it is the one case where this site loads code from somewhere else.
If you arrive through one of those links, a small script from Lemon Squeezy loads and stores an anonymous identifier in your browser so that a later purchase can be attributed to whoever referred you. It records the referral, not you: no name, no email address, and nothing that identifies you personally.
If you did not arrive through an affiliate link, none of that happens. No third-party script loads, and nothing is stored. We check for the code before loading anything rather than running a tracker on every visitor for the sake of the few who arrive referred.
To clear it, delete this site’s data in your browser. Declining costs you nothing — the price is the same either way, and the commission comes out of our side, never added to yours.

Our merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy processes the transaction, acts as seller of record for tax purposes, and hosts the file download. We never see or store your card details. They also run the affiliate tracking described above, but only for visitors who arrive through an affiliate link.
Brand mail on MailEnable at railstead.com. Anything you send us arrives as ordinary email from your own mail client — there is no third-party form relay.
Hosting
IIS (or equivalent) serving this static site; basic access logs only.
Order and tax records are retained as required for accounting. Mailing-list addresses are deleted on request. Support threads are kept as long as useful to resolve issues and prevent abuse, then pruned.
Email support@railstead.com to request access, correction, or deletion of your data. Order records may need to be retained for legal and tax reasons even after a deletion request for marketing lists.
Kits are sold to business buyers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Not on an ordinary visit. There is no analytics product and no third-party code — the fonts are served from our own server precisely so that loading a page doesn’t call out to anyone else. The single exception is an affiliate link, described in Affiliate links above, and even then what’s stored is an anonymous referral code rather than anything about you.
